Tympani’s rebrand involved spending the last two years working with a marketing agency to determine our niche in the marketplace. Through extensive research on our customers, manufacturing partners, employees, competitors, and the industry itself, we have determined both a new strategy and brand for the company.
We found that the technology industry is actually becoming more complex and changes are occurring more rapidly than ever before. Because of this, our competitors’ message of simplifying IT does not align with what is actually occurring. What’s more, the marketing language that typically surrounds technology solutions is often fluffy and abstract, making it difficult to know when, how, and which technologies work as promised.
Our customers have asked for a straightforward, transparent partner to cut through the pretense and deliver candid communication. That’s where Tympani comes in.
A New Business Strategy
Our strategy focuses on being more consultative to our customers—something we have always done, but just haven’t talked about. Our new brand will help deliver that strategy and revolves around being straightforward and candid, yet thoughtful in our approach. Our new brand focuses on taking into account the thoughts, perspectives, and situations of our clients and ensuring our recommendations are aligned with those items. This new strategy will allow us to more effectively chase vertical markets across the Chicago space and assist our clients with a legitimate technology infrastructure consultation service that consistently ties business objectives with IT solutions.
In addition to our new brand, we also evaluated the name Tympani. For many, it is hard to pronounce, hard to spell, and hard to remember. We need a name that better matches our consultative strategy and thoughtfully candid brand.
That new name is Mindsight.
Mindsight is a psychology term that refers to being aware of your own thoughts and feelings, as well as the thoughts and feelings of others. It’s having insight into yourself and empathy for others. It perfectly describes who we are and who we’ve always been.
This rebrand comes at the tail end of an exceptional year in Tympani’s history. Our managed services practice has grown by 75% and we have realized a 25% growth in the commercial space overall. After Tympani’s rebrand, we’ll still be under the same ownership, leveraging the skills and intelligence of the same engineers and consultants, and still on track for a strong finish to the year as Mindsight.
