For any number of reasons, many companies find that their needs dictate total control of their data in some areas but allow for shared environments for other data. Whether it’s storage, servers, the firewall, or some other data center component, you may want dedicated control of certain aspects of your data center but shared in others. Combining features of both a public and private cloud, a hybrid cloud offers the best of both worlds: the cost savings (OpEx) of a public cloud and the increased security (for business critical items) of a private cloud. Hybrid cloud solutions are off-premise with some elements of the data center designated exclusively to your company, while the rest are shared among other customers. For the great majority of customers, a hybrid cloud will actually serve the company better than either a strictly public or private cloud deployment.
