Protection When You Need it Most

From power outages to the harsh hand of Mother Nature, it’s safe to assume your company’s resources are constantly at risk. Negative events can happen unexpectedly. The only question is whether or not you’ll be ready when they do. With IT strongly tied to all business functions, it’s extremely important to have a disaster recovery plan in place to protect your investments.

According to FEMA, 40% of small businesses who suffer a disaster without a proper and effective recovery plan in place will fail and close. Of those that manage to reopen their doors, another 25% will only last another year before eventually failing as well. Mindsight’s cloud disaster recovery solutions can offer you peace of mind that your data is safe no matter what happens. With a solid disaster recovery plan in place, your business can continue on with minimal loss and downtime.

Mindsight’s Cloud Disaster Recovery Solution in Six Steps

A Mindsight cloud disaster recovery plan makes use of infrastructure, software, and/or managed services to quickly restore business functions after a negative event. Typically, our approach involves six steps immediately following the incident.

1. Declaration

Using a documented notification process, the company will declare to its customers and employees that there has been an event. The message will also explain that systems are currently down but will return shortly.

2. Provisioning

Necessary workloads for your business’s applications will be provisioned to restore operation.

3. Modifications

With business applications returning to life, certain modifications need to be made. IP addressing, name resolution services, and carrier connectivity will be altered accordingly.

4. Validation

Mindsight engineers or an in-house crew then validates that the services and applications are fully functional.

5. Second Declaration

Now that the business has restored functionality, the documented notification process is used to make a second declaration. This time it’s to inform staff and customers that business may resume.

6. Workload Migration

Now, the task is to return to normality. The last step performs the necessary actions to place workloads and services back to a long term residence.
